Creation Care Resources
Fall is an excellent time to focus on creation care. As storms rage harder, flood waters rise higher, and fires burn hotter, we remind ourselves of our responsibilities as disciples to honor God in creation. This theme emerges naturally in the harvest season and as we celebrate the ministry of St. Francis of Assisi, which many congregations do with worship service that includes a blessing of the animals.
We also like that creation care helps us introduce the concept of stewardship (we all have responsibility to care for the earth, just as our discipleship calls us to care for Christ's body, the church).
Resources for Children
Children are particularly receptive to seeing the wonder and beauty of creation, which is a very local concept to many of them. This is a time to foster an appreciation of nature as well as to begin and encourage good creation care habits at home.

Resources for Youth
This group has grown up hearing and seeing the consequences of dire warnings about the earth's future, so celebrating the diversity and beauty of creation while emphasizing a productive path forward helps combat feelings of hopelessness.

Resources for Adults
Adults can see creation care through political or economic lenses, but we also need to understand it as a critical ministry as disciples of Jesus Christ.
